Los Angeles Port, U.S.A. In 2010 D.E.S. dismantled, preserved and packed a car dumper system from this port. This project had to be completed in limited time and under strict customs control. D.E.S. was assigned to this project because of our impeccable record of handling valuable recovered machinery. |
On completion of the above, the project director wrote this letter to D.E.S. –
Dear Adriaan,
I write you this letter today to indicate my appreciation for your services on our project. Your team was professional, expedient, and possessed a work ethic that I can only describe as impressive. You were able to coordinate the efforts of multiple contractors across several construction and engineering disciplines and skillfully bring their efforts to bear in not only a timely manner, but one that was extremely efficient as well.
Your assistance to remove the major portions of the former Los Angeles Export Terminal coal and petroleum coke facilities at the Port of Los Angeles in preparation for the construction of the Los Angeles Pacific Marine Terminal crude oil tank farm was no doubt a key to our successful forward progression on this large project. Your valuable insight of practical engineering solutions towards mining, construction, and industrial mills saved us over 450,000 USD in documented costs and there can be no doubt your assistance furthered our profits in uncalculated ways as well.
From a personal standpoint, I can honestly say that it was a pleasure working with you. You are personable, practical, fair, and enjoyable to be around. I must also mention that this feeling extends to your team members as well. I hope this letter finds you well and that we have the opportunity to work together again in the near future.
Kind Regards,
Adam Lynch

Mill Removal - Miami, Florida, USA
D.E.S. was contracted to remove used Ball Mills and related Equipment from a demolished processing plant.
This time sensitive project required swift action to retrieve components and to pack and forward equipment for resell. The project was completed within three weeks. D.E.S. can be trusted to execute projects with time constraints without compromising quality or safely.

The project, located in the Sierra del Madre Mountains, is especially challenging due to the mountainous nature of the region which required that the Mills be split longitudinally in order to be transported to site. D.E.S. was instrumental in the innovative procedure to split and transport these Mills. Preliminary engineering commenced in September 2005 with environmental approval obtained in June 2006. The plant was commissioned in the 1st Quarter 2009 at an overall capital cost of USD 180M.
