Precision Measurement of flatness

LEVALIGN provides the most efficient method for precision measurement of flatness and straightness of machine foundations, bed plates and tables, circular and rectangular flanges, split machine casings and crane slewing rings. The system features InfiniSpliceā„¢ to measure an infinite number of points, immense surface areas and protracted applications such as linked conveyor systems. The surface profile of the measured component is shown in full color 2-D and 3-D graphic display together with color coded tolerance levels giving a clear representation of the results. Surface flatness measurement using LEVALIGN is straightforward, a reference grid is laid out on the surface to be measured, and the laser sensor is moved to each marked location, to take a reading. The ROTALIGN PRO/ULTRA computer then calculates and displays all the measurements taken and the surface profile of the object measured, both as a data table and graphically.

Precision Measurement of bores
BORALIGN, the latest development for the measuring of bores and bearings in internal combustion engines, compressors, turbines, pumps and other machinery. BORALIGN is also designed for marine applications (stern tube bearing alignment) as well as for the alignment of work pieces to a boring head.
BORALIGN offers true bore center measurement, not just bore straightness. It measures whether multiple bores are in line with one another and with the rotating centerline of the shaft. Its measurement results to ISO 9000/MIMOSA standards can be documented through any office printer. The configuration can be tailored to meet the unique demands posed by a particular job and predefined values can be entered to compensate for thermal growth on shaft sag. Different brackets are available to cover a range of bore diameters.
